Gwen’s Bio
Gwen Happ is an Issues, Collaboration and Engagement manager for Colorado Springs Utilities. She has over 20 years of experience building effective strategies in issues, communication, stakeholder engagement and facilitation for the organization and the community. She is responsible for developing and implementing strong engagement programs for large electric and water projects and planning processes, and has played a key role in the placement of long term water and diverse energy portfolio strategies. She’s skilled in and has led many leadership, strategic planning and team building sessions. She is also well known in the community for her fashion viewpoint and expertise.
Gwen’s passion for people and processes extends to her work serving on many nonprofit boards where she’s volunteered countless hours and years participating in company and fundraising activities. Her time with the Greenberg Center for Learning and Tolerance (GCLT) has been both a joy and a privilege. “The people I serve with on the Board are compassionate, passionate and caring people. Making them the perfect example of how love knows no boundaries when serving and being there for one another. This community is fortunate to have this organization in Colorado Springs. And I am fortunate to be a part of it.”
Gwen is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration, and Colorado Christian University with a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
